This Privacy Policy explains how Sitekeeper ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects information when you use our website monitoring service at sitekeeper.eu and app.sitekeeper.eu.

1. Who We Are

2. What Data We Collect

Account data: When you register, we collect your email address. We do not collect your name unless you choose to provide it.

Website monitoring data: We collect technical monitoring data about the websites you add to your account — including response times, HTTP status codes, page sizes, Lighthouse scores, and HTML analysis results. This is data about your websites, not about you personally.

Usage data: We may collect basic usage information (e.g. login timestamps, feature usage) to improve the service. We do not use third-party analytics tools on the application dashboard.

Payment data: Payment processing is handled by our payment provider. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide and operate the monitoring service
To send monitoring alerts and service notifications to your email address
To send account-related emails (registration, password reset, billing)
To improve and develop the service
To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

5. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on servers within the European Union. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews.

Monitoring data is retained for up to 90 days per metric. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, data is removed within 30 days.

6. Cookies

The marketing website (sitekeeper.eu) does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. The application (app.sitekeeper.eu) uses only a session cookie necessary for authentication. No marketing or advertising cookies are used.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Sitekeeper:

Google PageSpeed Insights API — to collect Lighthouse performance scores for monitored websites. URLs of your monitored sites are sent to Google's API. Google's privacy policy applies.
Google Fonts — served from Google's CDN on our marketing website.
SMTP email provider — to send transactional emails (alerts, account notifications).

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of your personal data
Rectification — correct inaccurate personal data
Erasure — request deletion of your personal data
Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
Restriction — request restriction of processing
