Sitekeeper is committed to full compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 gives you specific rights regarding your personal data. This page explains those rights and how to exercise them with Sitekeeper.

Your Rights Under GDPR

📋 Right of Access

You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you, free of charge.

✏️ Right to Rectification

If your data is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to have it corrected.

🗑️ Right to Erasure

You can request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten") in certain circumstances.

📦 Right to Portability

You can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format to transfer to another service.

🚫 Right to Object

You can object to processing of your data where we rely on legitimate interests as our legal basis.

⏸️ Right to Restriction

In certain circumstances, you can request that we restrict how we process your data.

Sitekeeper is the data controller for personal data processed through our service.

What Personal Data We Process

Email address — used for authentication, account management and monitoring alerts
Name — optional, if you choose to provide it
URLs you monitor — stored to perform monitoring on your behalf
Monitoring results — technical data about your websites (response times, scores, analysis). This is not personal data in most cases.
Login sessions — session tokens for authentication, automatically expire

How Long We Keep Your Data

Account data — retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account closure
Monitoring data — retained for up to 90 days per metric, then automatically deleted
Email logs — retained for up to 30 days for debugging purposes

Data Transfers

All data is stored and processed on servers within the European Union. When we use the Google PageSpeed Insights API, URLs of your monitored websites are sent to Google's servers (USA). This transfer is covered by Google's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can opt out by not using features that require PageSpeed data.

Cookies and Tracking

We use no advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie we use is a strictly necessary session cookie on the application (app.sitekeeper.eu) required for authentication. This cookie is not used for tracking or profiling.

No Automated Decision-Making

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or significant effects on you.

How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any GDPR right, email us at privacy@sitekeeper.eu with the subject line "GDPR Request". Please include:

Your registered email address
The specific right you wish to exercise
Any relevant details

We will respond within 30 days. In complex cases, we may extend this by up to 60 days with notice.

Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Czech Republic: Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (ÚOOÚ). You may also contact the supervisory authority in your EU country of residence.
